There are some reasons why people get married. Why some have a reason for getting married, some find it difficult to figure out the reason why they are about to walk down the aisle. It’s obvious that nothing happens without reason. This is why it’s important we get abreast of these facts so that we can know what our reasons are or were. Because when the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse becomes inevitable.

People get married because of the following.

Childbearing

This is the primary reason why people are expected to have a family. As a result, everyone seems to have it as their reason for trying to settle down, even when they know they have a hidden agenda. Despite this, people still sincerely get married for this reason.

Wealth creation

This reason is always subtle in people. Nobody comes to let everyone know that the reason for his/her intention to get married is to get wealth. Sometimes, this reason can be seen among the rich and sometimes among the poor. The rich wants to get married to the rich. All for the reason of getting rich or richer.

Status

This one sounds funny. People get into marriage because they are tired of being addressed as ‘miss’. They just want to see their status change from ‘miss’ to ‘mrs’. Is that not funny? Also on this note, people also want to get new or dual citizenship or nationality status as the reason for getting married. So they go into international relationship so as to make that happen.

Pressure

This reason is why people get into marriage unprepared. Their family are on their neck to get a wife or a husband. Mostly because they are the only child or are getting advanced in age. Also, peer pressure coming from age mates and friends is another one. They feel dejected and left behind and so would promptly go into marriage whether ready or not.

Power

Here, people tend to get attached to people in authority naturally. A woman getting married to a king to become a queen, etc. Also on traditional grounds where one is not given a traditional title except when married, people get into marriage so as to fit in for the traditional title and its subsequent coronation.
