Studies have shown that the life span and healthiness of a child begins from conception. At that point where the sperm cells fertilize the ova in the mother, it takes the action of food nutrients in the mother to bring about a proper dividing and recombining of genes to achieve the completion of the formation of the baby. And the need for nutrient subsequently continues in other processes, until the baby is born. This goes to tell us that a proper diet is highly needed in the process of the upbringing of a child. For whatever a man becomes healthwise, it starts from childhood. So the easiest way to improve the life span of any nation is to start with the improvement of the mother to a child’s wellbeing.
Health experts, as well as nutritionist, have made it known that babies are to be placed on breastfeeding, at least six (6) months, before administering water or any other food. This is also good for the child’s wellbeing. As a child starts eating every food available, it is vital to note that, the child needs to be given a well-balanced meal. As it is seen in some families, having a food timetable should be adopted to ensure a balanced meal. To get a very good timetable, it is advisable to consult a nutritionist for direction. This is because when the meal is gotten right, there will automatically be little or no expenses for pharmaceuticals. Subjecting your kids to junk foods makes them unhealthy and obese. And research has shown that 80% of obese children remain obese when they become an adult.

Ensuring your child gets involved in exercise helps too. The idea of taking the child in a car to school and back, while he goes into the house to sit all day, watching TV and playing video games, does not help the child. At least, on a weekend, Saturday preferably, your child can be taken out to a nearby field for outdoor exercise. Where he can be allowed to play any sport of his choice. This will make him strong and lively.
A child’s academic performance is at it’s best when the child is healthy and strong.
